I cannot begin to tell you how many people I have spoken to recently who tell me with great enthusiasm how they have finally found their passion and purpose in life. Then, with a total lack of enthusiasm, they explain to me how much it is costing them because they believe in it and want to make a difference, but they have not found a way to work it that supports them.
It is not ok to be able to work your passion and purpose without making money! Making money does not have to be hard; money can come easy and you can have fun making money. It is ok to love what you do and make money. You can give and receive.
If you have found your passion and purpose, that is absolutely wonderful! If you have not created a way for it to support you, that is not ok. Ask yourself this, “Are there other people and/or companies doing the same or similar things profitably? Chances are the answer is yes, and that means something is holding you back from being in the same position. You deserve more!
Whatever holds you back has got to go—whether it is limited money beliefs, or fears which often masquerade as many other seemingly valid reasons. It is time for you to be successful! The time is now not only because you bringing your passion and purpose to life is important, the time is now because there are many other people that desperately need exactly what you have to offer. Your success helps others be successful as well.
What beliefs would you have to let go of to bring your passion and purpose to life so you can have a bigger impact? What would you have to be open to in order to have your passion and purpose bring money into your life and support you beautifully?
Do you think is it time for your passion and purpose to support you?

This is such a great post, Edie. So often, having been brought up with messages of “work is hard,” “get a secure job,” “work is work and play is play,” people can’t get themselves to believe that they can identify their passion, and make great money with a business in their passion area.
It truly is a matter of overcoming self-limiting beliefs, stepping into your power, thinking big, taking action, and going for it.
Thanks for reminding us all of what’s possible!
Your so right, Edie…everyone deserves to be paid for their work!
Lillian
Thank you Ava! You are right the messages that were given to us as we grew up play a big part in our beliefs of what is possible. Those messages often hold people back without them even being aware of it.
Thanks Lillian. Interestingly though when people are doing what they love they often feel uncomfortable being paid or asking for what they are truly worth.
Thank you so much for this post Edie, this exact concept is something I have personally worked on for quite some time. Happy to say I stood up and said “It’s Not OKAY!”
“It is ok to love what you do and make money.”
Can we shout that from the rooftops, please?!?!
Absolutely Teresa, THANK YOU. Let’s SHOUT it from the rooftops! “It is ok to love what you do and make money.”
I agree, shout it from the rooftops. I love what I do and do deserve to the make money I deserve.
Thanks for your blog Edie!
